Felony charges of forgery and possession of a counterfeit credit card were lodged Friday against a woman found to be using a fake American Express credit card. Angela Powell, 26, of 7737 S. Harvard Ave., Chicago, was apprehended by police after the manager of the Foot Locker shoe store in Lincoln Mall became suspicious of card authorization problems in the purchase of four pairs of shoes worth $393. Also apprehended was her companion, Rolando Shackelford, 27, of 525 W. 117th St., Chicago, who was wanted by the U.S. attorney for violation of a release order. The vehicle they were in was found to have blank credit card plastic and was turned over to the U.S. Secret Service.
