Eugene Jones, 60, of North Aurora died Saturday in Delnor-Community Hospital in Geneva. Born in Mississippi, Mr. Jones moved to the Fox Valley in 1963. He was employed for more than 30 years at L.R. Johnson and Son in Batavia until his retirement in 1996. He also operated Gene’s Standard in Geneva for several years. Mr. Jones was a member of the Batavia Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 682. Survivors include his wife, Helen; two sons, David and Michael; two daughters, Kathy Caldwell and Shari Konrad; a brother; a sister; 10 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Services were Tuesday.
