Clarence Johnson, 88, a railroad conductor for nearly five decades, died Friday in the Anchorage Nursing Home in Bensenville. Mr. Johnson was born in Eufaula, Ala., and moved to Chicago in 1930. He was a conductor for the Chicago and North Western Railroad for 48 years. Mr. Johnson was a former officer of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Doretta; two daughters, Kay Long and Jean Van Eps; one son, James; two stepsons, Kenneth and Gerald Radek; two stepdaughters, Darlene Radek and Judith Nelson; one sister; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst.
