Roger Moos, 56, a 31-year veteran of the Elmhurst Police Department, died Wednesday from kidney failure in Central DuPage Hospital. Mr. Moos worked most recently as the chief of general investigations for the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations. He also was pursuing a master’s degree in public administration at National-Louis University. Friends and family members described Mr. Moos as an extremely gregarious man who loved dealing with the public in his role as a police officer. “He was a police officer in Elmhurst for so long, everybody knew him,” said his son, Jeffrey. “He was very outgoing.” Other survivors include three brothers, Jerrold, Darrell and Randall. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Pedersen-Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York Rd., Elmhurst.
