Edward L. Van Acker, 64, of Huntley was a dairy farmer for more than 40 years, and for the past seven years an employee at Stade Grain Co., Marengo. Mr. Van Acker died Thursday in his home. Mr. Van Acker was born in Elgin and graduated from Dundee High School in 1951. He was a former director of the Blue Cross Health Improvement Association for Rutland Township. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Patricia; two sons, Steven and Timothy; two daughters, Lori Wille and Valerie Hisel; his mother, Henrietta Van Acker; four brothers, Robert, James, Henry and Lawrence; three sisters, Elaine Richardson, Barbara Otte and Shirley Radloff; and seven grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday in O’Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St., Huntley. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Mary Church, 10911 N. Woodstock St., Huntley.
