Cover girl: Yolanda Treiguts of Oakbrook Terrace has been to the edge of a Costa Rican volcano; the ruins of Tulum, Mexico; Hawaii; and Latvia. Now she has shown up somewhere else — on the cover of a magazine.
The current issue of Friendly Wheels magazine features the jet-setting DuPage County woman. But unlike most adventurous travelers, Treiguts, whose multiple sclerosis makes walking difficult, gets around on a battery-powered Amigo scooter. And boy, does she get around.
“My personal credo is, `I will go as far as I can go,’ ” Treiguts says in the magazine.
