Irvin J. Sprawka, 78, of Batavia died Monday in Michealsen Health Care Center in Batavia. Mr. Sprawka was a certified public accountant and served in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Sprawka also was a council commissioner of the Northwest Suburban Council for the Boy Scouts and received the Silver Beaver Award. He was a graduate of Loyola University in Chicago. Survivors include his wife, Muriel; a daughter, Lynn Maher; a son, John T.; and five grandchildren. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holy Cross Church, 2300 Main St., Batavia.
