Harvey E. Gorman, 64, a retired Wheeling police officer and a U.S. Navy veteran, died Monday in Columbus Hospital in Chicago. Born in Mansfield, Ohio, Mr. Gorman served during the Vietnam and Korean Wars. He stayed on with the Navy Reserves until 1975. A resident of Wheeling for many years, Mr. Gorman was a sergeant in the Wheeling Police Department for 20 years. He retired in 1990 and moved to Crivitz, Wis. “He always wanted to have fun,” recalled his daughter, Michelle Tognarelli. Other survivors include a brother, Robert; and a granddaughter. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday in Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling.
