The Spencer, a 4,000-square-foot stand-alone builder’s model, has been opened by Empeco Inc. at Ivanhoe Estates golf course community in suburban Ivanhoe.

The interior of the model was designed by Richard Honquest Fine Furnishings of Barrington. Empeco is offering 20 free hours of professional consultation with the Honquest design staff, valued at more than $1,500, to anyone who purchases one of its homes.

Ivanhoe Estates is on Illinois Highway 60, one mile west of Illinois Highway 176. The Spencer model is at 21769 W. Vernon Ridge inside the community.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For information, call 847-566-1603.

The Spencer will also be open during the Lake County Tour of Homes May 30 through June 7.

– The Diamond Point Townhomes in far north suburban Mundelein, a community of 70 Prairie-style rowhouses, is celebrating the grand opening of three furnished models.

The three-story floor plans range from 2,000 to 2,200 square feet and are priced from $159,900 for a one-bedroom with loft unit; from $164,900 for two bedrooms; and from $169,900 for three-bedroom units. Prices are in effect for the 20 units in phase one, which are more than half sold, and include a premium for end units or pond views.

One of the models is the three-bedroom Radiant with master bedroom suite, upper level laundry area, living and dining room with fireplace, a wooden deck off the breakfast area, and a ground-level recreation room.

Sales hours at Diamond Point are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

– D.R. Horton Custom Homes has opened three decorated models at Farmington Green Estates, a community of 103 single-family homes in far north suburban Lindenhurst.

In all, 11 floor plans with 1,760 to 2,952 square feet offer three to five bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Prices range from $176,900 to $229,900.

The models include the two-story Teakwood with three bedrooms and two baths and the 2,475-square-foot Tuscan with four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths, a den and a formal dining room. It also features a great room with two-story ceiling. The one-story Riviera offers volume ceilings throughout, including an 11-foot ceiling in the great room and a vaulted ceiling in the family room, kitchen and breakfast nook. The bedrooms, baths and a den are confined to one side of the 1,910-square-foot home.

Farmington Green Estates is bordered on the west by the MacDonald Woods Forest Preserve. It is located off U.S. Highway 45, half a mile north of Sand Lake Road.

– JK Construction Co. has opened a model of the Lexington II plan at Harvest Glen in southwest suburban Plainfield, a community of 240 semi-custom single-family homes being developed by Moser Enterprises Inc. JK Construction is also offering a $3,500 incentive that can be taken off the base price of the home or applied toward options and upgrades.

Priced at $188,900, the two-story, 2,430-square-foot Lexington II has four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths.

The 10 ranch and two-story floor plans at Harvest Glen range from 2,050 to 2,800 square feet and include three to five bedrooms, two to 2 1/2 baths, basements, attached two-car garages, and central air conditioning. They are priced from $179,900 to $225,900.
