A loud explosion heard around 11:30 p.m. Sunday near Roslyn Road School, 224 Roslyn Rd., was caused by an exploding fuse, authorities said. Police said Commonwealth Edison employees had been working near the school to replace the fuse. No one was injured. Further work by utility workers in the area could cause a brief power outage at the school, authorities said.
