The proposed $60 million Barrington Senior Living project appears to have won the support of the Village Board, provided its developer is willing to reduce the heights of its innermost buildings.

Four of six village trustees have indicated they would vote for the project if its proposed 59-foot-tall buildings were scaled down to 52 feet. Two trustees said they supported the project but remained undecided on their height preferences.

The board likely will vote on the matter Monday.

Barrington Venture L.L.C. proposes redeveloping the 32-acre former American National Can Co. site, 433 Northwest Highway, into a senior residential development.

Barrington has a 35-foot height limit on residences.
