Michael A. Serrano, 54, of Elk Grove Village, died Monday in the University of Chicago Hospitals. For the last 19 years, Mr. Serrano worked as a heavy equipment operator. He is a former Park Ridge resident. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; his mother, Antonia; and three sisters, Dora Cabon, Sara Vega and Maria Antunez. Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village. A mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Julian Eymard Catholic Church, 601 Biesterfield Rd., Elk Grove Village.
