David E. Misner, 82, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream for the last 11 years and formerly of Lombard, died Saturday in Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Born in Waterloo, Iowa, Mr. Misner earned his bachelor’s degree from Cedar Falls Teachers College, his master’s from George Williams College in Chicago, and his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. In 1981, he retired as professor emeritus of biology and human development from George Williams College. In 1982, Mr. Misner received special recognition for his leadership with Aim-Hi, a DuPage County mental health organization. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Madaline; two daughters, Pamela Poland and Marilyn; a brother, Arthur; four grandsons; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.
