John D. Thomas’ article (“Delusions about the Midwest,” Commentary, Aug. 11) struck an awesome chord. My personal apology is extended to that family for the total disrespect so virulently flung upon them in a fit of immature road rage.
The impatience and recklessness of youth are puny, unacceptable excuses for the behavior of a bunch of brats who obviously learned their shamed values at home. I also exhort Mr. Thomas to consider the majority of Midwesterners who do not think, believe or act in such an unconscionable manner.
