It was amazing to me to see the dichotomy between what people were saying in on-the-street reports following President Clinton’s apology, and what the press is saying the public is missing or should be interested in.

The public is not dumb, and they have heard enough about this so-called “scandal” to make up their own minds without being told by the media that they don’t understand all the facts.

The people know darned well that the Clinton/Lewinsky story is a juicy and sexy story that sells newspapers and builds TV ratings, and they know the press will want to keep it alive for as long as possible.

People have accepted Clinton’s apology. Now give it up.
