Jack Davidson, 89, who graduated from John Marshall Law School in 1942 and practiced law for more than 56 years, died Monday of kidney and liver failure in Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. A resident of the city’s North Side, Mr. Davidson practiced real estate and tax law, most of the time from his Chicago offices at 111 N. Wabash Ave. Orphaned at a young age, he was originally motivated to study law in an effort to provide for his siblings. He was also active in the Jewish community and was a past president of the Austin Jewish Community Center. Mr. Davidson is survived by two daughters, Sandra Neuhaus and Judith Weiss; a son, Gary Davidson; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ida Ryback. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Weinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 N. Skokie Blvd., Wilmette.
