Max Huber, 72, of Palatine, and formerly of Wheeling, died Monday in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in North Chicago. Mr. Huber, a native of Munich, Germany, was a retired warehouse manager at PPC Industry, formerly of Wheeling. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1943 to 1946 and in the U.S. Navy from 1949 to 1953. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Bernice; three sons, Stanley, Daniel and Phillip; two daughters, Veronica Williams and Sharon; a brother, Martin; a sister, Wilhelmina Theis; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave., Wheeling.
