Our government’s response to the latest terrorist acts was both appropriate and overdue. The letter by Jennifer Bing-Canar (Voice, Aug. 21) stated that we should have used non-violent channels to bring the bombers to justice. If the terrorists and the governments that harbor them were rational, that would be a good approach. It is, however, naive to think that is going to stop terrorists.
To allow these murderers to go unpunished would have been totally wrong. It would be great if the terrorists would allow every human to live in peace but for some warped reasoning, that is not their mission.
