Robert E. Prothero, 69, of Indian Head Park died Friday in Tucson. Born in Turlock, Calif., Mr. Prothero served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a vice president with Ameritech Corp. Survivors include his wife, Betty; a son, Thomas; three daughters, Mary Miles, Theresa Larkin and Emily Moberly; four stepsons, John, William, Michael and Stephen Bucheleres; and 10 grandchildren. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 49th Street and Wolf Road, Western Springs.
