This past week, hundreds of public libraries across the country celebrated America Links Up @ the Library, a yearlong public education campaign designed to ensure that children have a safe and rewarding experience on-line.
Sponsored by a coalition of education, industry and children’s advocacy groups, the program presented the public with information regarding the opportunities the Internet provides as well as solutions the library profession is developing to assist adults and children in protecting themselves while on-line.
