Hazel E. Nallen, 86, of Schaumburg died Monday in Columbia Hoffman Estates Medical Center. Born in Chicago, Mrs. Nallen worked at Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Chicago as a filing clerk, where she met James Nallen Sr. After they married, Mrs. Nallen became a homemaker and raised eight children before retiring to Holiday, Fla. In 1994, she moved to Schaumburg. “She was a very happy-go-lucky and fun-loving person,” said her son James. Other survivors include four sons, Robert, Michael, Tom and John; two daughters, Dorothy Flavin and Joan Blasi; a brother, William Hogan; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Hubert Catholic Church, 729 Grand Canyon Pkwy., Hoffman Estates.
