Burglars broke into the Kaneland Middle School, 1 N 137 Meredith Rd., Monday and stole cash totaling about $100 from various classrooms, storerooms and offices, police said. The thieves gained entry to the school by breaking a classroom window. A coin-operated machine in the girls restroom was pried open as were several lockboxes and locked desk drawers. The school is offering a reward to any student who comes forward with information about the crime.
