Kimberly Ann Pressler, a 21-year-old from New York who said she’d forsake her boyfriend to become Miss USA 1999 won the title Friday night.
Miss Tennessee, Morgan Tandy High, was named first runner-up. Miss California, Angelique Breaux, was the second runner-up.
“I think if true love is there it will be there afterward,” she said as she waved to her boyfriend in the audience.
Pressler is from Franklinville, N.Y., 60 miles southeast of Buffalo.
