Sister Jean Raymonda Potts, 95, a teacher for many years, died Tuesday in the Dominican Life Center in Adrian, Mich. Sister Potts, formerly known as Lucile Genevieve Potts, spent 76 years in the Adrian Dominican congregation. Born in Peck, Mich., Sister Potts graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Adrian and received a bachelor’s degree in Latin from DePaul University in Chicago. She taught in Royal Oak, Mich., Chicago and Harvey for 47 years before retiring in 1975. Schools she worked at in Chicago included St. Kilian, St. Rita and Aquinas High School and Resurrection school in Harvey. She moved to the Dominican Life Center in 1993. There were no immediate survivors. Services were held Friday in Adrian, Mich.
