An agreement spelling out quality standards for town-home construction has gained Mokena Village Board approval.
The Highland subdivision, a 60-acre tract along the village’s 191st Street gateway west of La Grange Road, will consist of 66 single-family homes and 24 town homes, along with some commercial lots on 191st Street.
The development agreement requires that first-floor facades be substantially brick and that the builder offer two ranch-style models. The agreement also spells out various responsibilities of developers.
Another 191st Street development, Corporate Crossings, is geared for industrial and commercial use.
The proposed 80-acre business park at the southwest corner of 191st Street and 88th Avenue will include a furniture store and a warehouse. It would be screened from nearby residential properties.
