CDW Computer Centers Inc. plans to open a 500-employee office in downtown Chicago next year.
The Vernon Hills-based company has signed a 10-year lease for two floors at 120 S. Riverside Plaza and options for more space. Starting in April, CDW plans to move a good portion of its sales force to the new location to accommodate employees who want to work downtown and make room for 400 new sales people that it plans to hire, said Joe Kremer, the company’s vice president of marketing.
CDW, which sells computers and related products to businesses, has more than doubled its workforce, to nearly 1,900 today from 900 two years ago.
