The Neuqua Valley Interact Club has joined the Glass Slipper Project in collecting donated gowns for Chicago girls who need something to wear to their proms.
The Glass Slipper Project brings gently used prom dresses to Chicago Public School students who do not have the money to buy a new one. Last year, the parents, students and staff of Indian Prairie School District 204 donated more than 200 dresses.
Contributions of gently used, clean prom dresses in current style (less than 5 years old), shoes and accessories can be dropped off at Neuqua Valley High School, 2360 95th St., Naperville, from March 13 through 17.
Boutiques will be set up in the Chicago schools and personal shoppers will help students select a dress and accessories. For more information, call Lynn Vlcek at 630-428-6045.
