A symbol of springtime rebirth, these Easter bunnies have undergone their own unique revival–from chocolate to chalkware. Created from antique German candy and ice-cream molds, the rabbits have been transformed into contemporary collectibles in a form of plaster by Vaillancourt Folk Art in Sutton, Mass. Painstakingly made one at a time and hand-painted by artisans in limited editions of 250, these heirloom hares range in size from 2 to 20 inches and cost $50 to $1,400 at Past Basket, 200 S. 3rd St., Geneva, 630-232-4191.
