Home site reservations are being taken for Majestic Oaks, a community of 137 single-family homes on 92 acres in west suburban St. Charles.
The community is being developed by Joe Keim Land Corp. on the site of the former Moseley Estate. It is divided into two sections, both plotted around cul-de-sacs. The front section has 85 quarter-acre lots and the 52 back lots range from one-third to one-half acre. Most of the back lots are heavily wooded.
The lots are being sold only in packages with homes. Prices range from about $400,000 to more than $800,000. For a limited time, Joe Keim Builders is offering a 5 percent discount on the lots.
Minimum square footage for two-story homes on the larger lots is 3,300 square feet (2,500 for ranch homes). On the quarter-acre lots, two-story homes must be at least 2,800 square feet and for ranches at least 2,300 square feet. All homes must also include brick, stone, or cedar, or a combination.
Sales are being conducted from the Eagle Brook sales center in Geneva. To reach it, take Randall Road to Fargo Boulevard. Turn east one block to Bent Tree, right to Eldorado, and left to the sales center.

– Sales are under way for Columbus Park Terraces, a development of 15 single-family homes in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
The two-story homes, available in three floor plans, range from 1,521 to 1,763 square feet and include three bedrooms and 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths. They are base-priced from $129,900 to $139,900.
Homes include basements, air conditioning, gas heat, wall-to-wall carpeting, painted wood trim and insulated double-pane windows. Homes on corner lots include wrap-around porches.
The development is located at Jackson Boulevard and Lotus Avenue, just west of Laramie Avenue and five blocks north of Interstate Highway 290.

Five floor plans range from 1,927 to 2,666 square feet and are base-priced from $199,900 to $242,900. They include basements, two- or three-car garages, 9-foot first-floor ceilings, sodded front yards and landscaping packages.
Kitchens include built-in pantries, islands, and General Electric appliance packages.
