Gerald P. Lavold, 81, formerly of Naperville, died Wednesday, May 24, at York Convalescent Center in Elmhurst. Born in Chicago, Mr. Lavold moved to Naperville in 1970. He was a retired mechanical engineer for Dresser Industries. Survivors include two nephews and two nieces. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. There will be no services.
