Blues Season 2000 continues with the 16th Annual Chicago Gospel Music Festival and the 17th Annual Chicago Blues Festival.

This year’s gospel fest includes an “Artist Chat” session with the Canton Spirituals in the Gospel Youth Tent and, for the aspiring gospel singer, an open-mike opportunity.

The Blues Festival theme this year is “Celebrating the Heritage and Tradition of Blues Music.” The festivities are dedicated in honor of centenarians Tampa Red and Pink Anderson.

Also, there will be a series of special performances honoring the late Howlin’ Wolf, who would turned 90 on June 10.
