Robert J. O’Hagan, 74, of Darien, a retired field representative with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, died Tuesday, June 6, in Hinsdale Hospital. Mr. O’Hagan was with the agency’s Chicago Loop office for more than 30 years. He also was assigned to the agency’s federal school lunch program. Mr. O’Hagan was a devoted family man who enjoyed golf and gardening, said his wife, Josephine. “He was a member of Holy Name Society at Our Lady of Peace parish and he enjoyed the company of the men he met there,” his wife said. Mr. O’Hagan also was an usher at the Darien church. After retiring, Mr. O’Hagan drove a school bus for VanCom, driving children to and from their schools in Darien and Downers Grove. “He really enjoyed those kids,” his wife said. Mr. O’Hagan served in Europe with the Army Air Forces during World War II. He is also survived by two sons, Robert and Kevin; a daughter, Laura; and a sister, Nancy O’Brien. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 701 Plainfield Rd., Darien.
