The fifth annual Marching Knights Field Show Competition will be held Sunday at Lashmet Field on the Lincoln-Way High School Central Campus.

Nine high school marching bands will compete, and the Marching Knights will close the show with an exhibition.

Competing bands include the Thornton Fractional South High School Rebels, the returning champions from the 1999 competition, as well as those from St. Rita, Thornwood, Reavis, Stagg, Andrew, Joliet West, Brother Rice/St. Laurence and Lemont.

Awards will be presented for best music, best visual effect, best drum major, best percussion, best guard, best general effect and overall grand champion.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens.
