Mary P. McDermott, age 57, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer, went home to God on Oct. 6, 2000. Beloved wife of Daniel P.; loving mother of Deanna (Jeff) Nelson, Marc (Kim) McDermott, Tracy (Greg) Ryle; proud grandmother of Natalie and Zachary; cherished daughter of the late Margaret and John Harrett Sr.; special Goddaughter of Rosemary (Tony) Azzaro; dear sister of John (Elaine) Harrett, Kathleen Banach and the late Margaret Ann (the late Chuck) Saxon; best friend of Margaret (Bud) O’Donnell; dear sister-in-law of James (Pearl), Gerald, Harold, Jack (Joanne), and the late Tom (Lorraine) McDermott. She will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends to meet Tuesday at St. Tarcissus Church, 6020 W. Ardmore for Mass at 9 a.m. Interment private.
