Henry Ruppel, 97, a resident of Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, died there on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 5, 2000. Henry was born Oct. 13, 1902 in Reinwald, Russia to Christian and Christina, nee Eurich, Ruppel. In 1910 the family immigrated to the United States and settled in Sheboygan. On Dec. 23, 1944 he married Lydia Altergott of Chicago. The couple resided in Chicago before becoming Sheboygan residents in 1980. Survivors include a daughter, June Beck of Chicago; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Emma Balde of Sheboygan; and a sister-in-law, Kathryn Ruppel of Sheboygan. He was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers. Interment rites will take place at the Ridgewood Cemetery Chapel in Des Plaines on Monday at 12:30 p.m. Friends may call at the time of service.
