Much to my surprise, I seem to finally be in demand. As a woman voter, I am still on the fence about whom to vote for in this year’s presidential election. This makes me a hot commodity for the candidates.

So I watched the debate, but I still didn’t get the warm fuzzies from either of the two men pandering for my precious vote.

I am waiting until one of them gets the courage to speak the truth about his positions, no matter how unpopular they may be. I am waiting for them to realize that I am an intelligent taxpayer, but I am tired of trying to play mathematical games with them. I am waiting for a leader.

As a woman, they may not want to hear this, and I am sure a few of my feminist sisters will vehemently disagree with me, but I want to be swept off my feet by the strength of character my future president has. I want to see tears in his eyes when speaking of hard truths, but behind the tears, I want to see steel resolve when making a decision.

And until I can figure out which one is worthy of my belief, I will abstain from voting. Maybe other women will as well.

Until one of these men can prove his worthiness, maybe we all should abstain from voting. I don’t think it’s too much to ask for someone to believe in.
