Skip Bayless has been observing the sporting world for quite a long time, so it continues to amaze me how such a seasoned writer can offer such superficial and illogical columns. The latest was his dreaming of Michael Jordan as the Bulls’ GM (Tribune, Oct. 18). The same Jordan who insisted the Bulls go after Walter Davis? Who disapproved of the Charles Oakley-for-Bill Cartwright trade? Who dismissed Scottie Pippen as someone who would disappear at crunch time?

It’s time for Skip and all the other Jerry Krause bashers to face the facts. Michael and 10 CBA players couldn’t have won six rings. Krause put together the team that did. Organizations do win championships. One needs to look no further than the perpetual sorry state of our North Side baseball club for proof of that.
