Frank S. Zarate, age 71, died October 20, 2000, following a brief illness, husband of Darlene, nee Molinare, and the late Lola May, nee Moore; he is also survived by his son Frank Jr. (Maureen) and his two daughters Kathleen (James) Dollard and Patricia Zarate and five grandchildren; son of the late Frank P. and Lucy Romo Zarate; brother of Robert (Patricia); son-in-law of Ida Molinare; brother-in-law of Minnie Zarate, Eileen (Carl) Jarson and Duane (Warren) Teller; also numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Zarate was born and raised in Detroit and attended Holy Redeemer School. Corporal in the U.S. Army, he was stationed at Ft. William Davis in the Canal Zone during the Korean War. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Detroit in 1960 and was the longtime Vice President & General Manager of Capitol Manufacturing Co., a Division of the Harsco Corp., in Chicago. Funeral Tuesday, 9:30 a.m., from Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien, to Our Lady of Peace Church. Mass 10 a.m. Entombment Clarendon Hills Mausoleum.
