Joseph A. Alleson, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001, at the age of 93 in the nursing care unit of the Odd Fellows Home in Concord, NH. He was preceded in death by his first wife Sophie Sabanski and second wife Jane Steinborn. He served in the U. S. Army during WW II in Africa and Europe. While living in Chicago, IL, he worked for many years for the Thompson Restaurant chain. He held many positions including manager of Henrici’s in the Loop until it closed. He was also the keeper of the Great Big grandfather clock at Henrici’s. After retirement he was Maitre’d at the President’s Walk in the Merchandise Mart. He was an avid golfer and physical fitness buff. He is survived by his daughter Barbara Leclerc of Manchester, NH; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons; nieces and nephews. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Odd Fellows Home Resident Fund, 200 Pleasant St. Concord, NH 03301.
