You think your mother screwed you up? The baby in North Carolina novelist Allan Gurganus’ short story “Nativity, Caucasian” arrives during a neighborhood contract-bridge tournament. Gurganus, along with Jack London, Edith Wharton and Jon Krakauer, is one of the featured authors for Stories on Stage, a series of live readings running monthly through June 12. “Yo Momma,” the first installment, features Gurganus’ narrative and other matriarchal tales directed by local playwright Michael Myers. It begins at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 220 E. Chicago Ave. $10-$13. 312-397-4010.
