Warren E. Anderson, 72, of Hinsdale, a retired office supplies salesman, died Thursday, Jan. 11, in Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Born and raised in St. Paul, Mr. Anderson earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis before moving to Chicago in 1948. He worked in sales for B.H. Hallin & Associates, a supplier of office products in Chicago, until 1979. In 1977, he founded ABC Distributors Inc., an office products wholesaler. He also worked for Publix Office Supplies in Chicago. He sold his company in 1985 and continued as a sales executive for Publix, retiring in 1995. A former longtime resident of Wheaton, Mr. Anderson was active in the Illinois Family Institute, a Glen Ellyn-based public policy organization. Mr. Anderson was one of the founders of the Chicago chapter in 1990 and served on the board of directors for the past decade. “He was a very warm and loving person,” said his wife of 52 years, Marian. Other survivors include three sons, Gregg, Kurt and Mark; a brother, Roger; three sisters, Marge Johnson, Bonnie Addington and Carolyn Flom; and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Christ Church of Oak Brook, 31st Street and York Road, Oak Brook.
