Michael M. Plesha, 77, of Arlington Heights, a retired carpenter, died Sunday, Jan. 14, in Church Creek Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights. Mr. Plesha graduated from Crane Technical High School and served three years in the Army in World War II as a radar technician. He worked as a maintenance foreman for a furniture factory in Chicago in the 1950s and 1960s. He then was a carpenter for Pepper Construction Co. in Arlington Heights, retiring in 1989. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Edna; two sons, Edward and Thomas; five sisters, Ann Woodard, Mary Biscan, Kay Grahovech, Madeline Stratmoen and Mildred Allen; and a brother, George. Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. A mass will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights.
