Ray Moseley’s “The real dirt on Britain” (News, Jan. 17), on how filthy London has become–sewerlike Charing Cross station, crumbling Underground, “egregious” Strand, dangerous hospitals–is right on the mark. He left out Heathrow Airport. Third-world conditions prevail there. It is to be avoided. No wonder so many Brits don’t want the euro or the European Union. They’d have to clean up their act.
