Raymond Leo Deany, 46, of 2529 1st St., Peru, died 9:23 p.m. January 19, shortly after arrival at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Grace United Methodist Church, LaSalle. Rev. Lynn Longenbaugh will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru. He was born August 13, 1954, in Chicago to James W. and Helen “Jean”, nee Dixon, Deany. He was a conductor on Metra Electric (Illinois Central Gulf) in Chicago for 22 years. He marrried Phyllis Turner on November 18, 1995, in Peru. He is survived by his wife, Phylis Deany of Peru; two sons, John Ray Deany of Hammmond, IN, and James Wesley Deany II of Lynwood, IL, a daughter, Kelly (Greg) Perra of LaPorte, IN; a granddaughter; and one brother, Edward James (Maureen) Deany of Burbank, IL. He was preceded by his parents.
