Vernon C. Rieb went to his eternal rest with his family at his side in his home on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001. He leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Bonnie L., nee Shaffer; his children David, Chuck (Caryn), Tom (Suzzette) Rieb and Susan (Scott) Rieb-Center; and daughter-in-law Justine Rieb; his eight grandchildren; his mother Ruth; three sisters and four brothers; along with their spouses; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son Steven; and his father Carl. Visitation Tuesday, 4 to 9 p.m. at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (2 blocks south of Dundee Road), Wheeling. He will lay in state on Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1850 Chestnut Ave., Glenview from 11 a.m. until time of service, 12 noon. Interment Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
