Henry Redinger Jr., age 82, resident of Carrollton, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001. Henry was born on August 14, 1918 in Chicago, IL. He had spent 38 years at Moody Bible Institute, retiring in 1984. He volunteered and taught Bible class at Brookhaven Nursing Home and the Atria, as well as contributing a tremendous amount of time for volunteer work at Hebron First Baptist Church, where he was also a member. Henry was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be remembered as a patient, loving man. He gave much more to this world than he took from it, and more than anything else, he believed in God’s loving compassion not only for himself first, but all of mankind. Memorials may be made to the Baptist Home Mission, c/o Hebron First Baptist Church. Henry is survived by his wife Lois Redinger of Carrollton of almost 56 years; his children Leslee Elliott and Bob of Jacksonville, FL, Cheryl Rutledge and Joel of Carrollton, Patricia Redinger of Carrollton; grandchildren Stefanie Elliott, Christopher Elliott, James Rutledge, Jordan Rutledge; sisters, Leola Mills of Lakewood, WI, Lydia Steeves and Dim of Floral City, FL; brothers, David Redinger of Lakewood, WI, Robert Redinger of Wilmington, NC, Wally Redinger and Marilyn of Theif River Falls, MN. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001 at the funeral home with services at 3 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001 at Hebron First Baptist Church, with private burial to follow.
