Cameron Morris Schoenbrod Joy, 3, died peacefully in his parent’s arms on Jan. 22, 2001 at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. Cameron advocated for disability rights in Connecticut and Washington, DC. He taught medical residents about compassion and caring for families and he helped teachers and childcare providers understand inclusion. Cameron left a footprint on each of our hearts. Cameron will always be loved, cherished and remembered by his parents, Kevin and Jennifer Joy of Coventry, CT; his maternal grandparents, Bret and Michele Schoenbrod; and maternal great-grandmother, Lillian Goldberg, all of Highland Park, IL; his paternal grandparents, Dennis and Dibbon Joy of Coventry, CT; his Aunt Stacy and Uncle Brian Kelly of Chicago, IL and his Aunt Kristyn Joy of Seattle, WA; as well as other family and friends whose lives he touched.
