Irene H. Ekstrom, nee Hobbs, formerly of Lincolnwood, IL passed away on January 25th in Louisville, Kentucky. Mrs. Ekstrom was born on January 29, 1908 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Loving wife of the late John R. Ekstrom; devoted mother of Mary Frances (Walter) Barney; fond grandmother of five; dearest great-grandmother of seven; loving daughter of the late Benjamin F. (late Mary Margaret, nee Knight) Hobbs. Mrs. Ekstrom was a retired Administrative Assistant for the Mayor of Lincolnwood, IL. Family and friends to meet on Monday at Queen of All Saints Basilica, 6280 N. Sauganash Ave. Mass 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
