Helen L. O’Brien, age 85, of Terre Haute, IN, passed away at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16th in her residence. She was born Dec. 18, 1915 in Johnston City, IL, to John Bowden and Lula Clark Bowden. She was a member of Maplewood Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother John Bowden, two sisters, Jean Bonner and Delois Frank and her husband Daniel, who passed away in 1986; she is survived by two sons, Dennis W. and Dan E. O’Brien; a brother Harold Bowden, three sisters, Virginia Sutt, Hilda Dahne and Gladys Abrams; five grandchildren, Sean, Jamie, Katie, Daniel and Patrick O’Brien; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Mattox Wood Funeral Home, with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday with Rev. Larry Scott, officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
