LeRoy “Roy” Winer, age 95, WW II, devoted husband of the late Rose, nee Wasserman; beloved father of Sherwin (Sue) and Barbara (Donald Rubin) Winer; adored “Big Guy” grandfather of Dr. Todd (Maxine) Winer, Becca and Nikki Rubin and the late Neal Allen Winer; great-grandfather of Nathan and Jason Winer; respected brother of Morris (Sylvia) and the late Irving (the late Marge) and Jack (the late Ruth); beloved brother-in-law of Margaret Goldstein, Patricia (the late Sam) Wasserman and the late Ben and Sarah Rubin. Mr. Winer practiced law until he was 90 when he retired to devote himself to the care of his ailing wife. He was a Hearing Officer for the IL State Commerce Commission in the 1950’s, and served as a Cook County Associate Judge in the 1960’s. He was a man of great integrity, whose clients from all walks of life frequently became his lifelong friends.
